9U Cougar Boys walk off N Middlesex 1
What a game; after struggling early at the plate the cougars came through in the bottom of the 5th inning with a bunch of hits to complete the rally. Braxton Sommise hit the walk off base hit with a smack up the middle to drive his brother Brody into home for the 5th run of the inning and a 7-6 victory.
Brody also made a great catch in the top of the 5th inning to help limit the runs scored by NM1. All the boys made some good plays in the field tonight..and more importantly, the right plays. They may not always end up in an out but it is the thought process that count the most. The mechanics will come. Some really great plays were made in the field tonight by Wesley and Tate and Wyatt. Wesley made some great stops and throes and Wyatt and Tate did well to make the outs count at 1st base. And behind the plate tonight Cameron did an excellant job of catching!!! He really shows a love for the position and no fear back there...well done!!
