The Camlachie Comeback Kid - vs. Wyoming Red
Rather than the traditional 'Player of the Game' award, which often highlights standout performance, we’re introducing the Camlachie Comeback Kid—a recognition that goes beyond skill and celebrates resilience, perseverance, and teamwork.

This award is given to players who:

  • Overcome challenges and show growth in a skill they’ve been struggling with.

  • Push through adversity, whether facing an unfortunate situation or personal obstacles during a game, or week

  • Steps up for their team, demonstrating sportsmanship and support when it matters most.

Being a great ball player is about more than talent—it’s about dedication, perseverance, and character. And being a great kid means bringing those same qualities to the diamond, the team, and everyday life.

The Camlachie Comeback Kid represents the heart of the game—the determination to keep going, keep improving, and keep supporting teammates through every challenge.

Our very first Camlachie Comeback Kid is Addy McPhail!

"Addy had a rough start to the game even before we started the first inning... she got a ball to the face during warm-ups & is going to have a pretty mean shiner now.  She did not let that deter her in the least!

She put on her game face & threw an amazing inning to kick off our first game ever.  She brough the heat!

Way to go, Addy!"
