Last at bat rally not enough to prevent loss to Strathroy
Well the bats finally came alive in the final at bat but it wasn't enough to get the 6 runs needed for Black to come back and beat the Strathroy Royal team. Strathroy played a good game with some timely hits and took advantage of a few unfortunate plays by our guys to get the victory. The loss likely takes Black out of 1st place in the league. our only hope now is that DKMB red loses another game before the end of their season. It's a disappointing loss for Black but shouldn't over shadow a very successful year. Players have all made huge steps in their games. Tonight that was never more evident than the play of Thomas.
Thomas hit the ball every at bat and made some excellent plays in the field backing up his teammates and making great throws and catches. The coaches and I are so proud of him and every player on the team for their effort this year. Lets have a great last practice next Thursday and have fun in our 2 game tournament next Saturday in Strathroy. Cory
